A call from Optus
For the purpose of background, I have an iPhone 3g on optus pre-paid (ie: bought outright for the purpose of testing).
I got a phone call from Optus yesterday (or an outsourced call centre it seemed) asking me to change my current pre-paid plan. They suggested that if I spend $40 or $50 per month then its worth me crossing to their $49 a month new ‘pre-paid’ (bs) system.

Found out today that gmail has been around for 5 years.. I remember sitting at my old Dell thinking that google were preparing to play a huge April fools joke in March 2004..
1 gig of storage for a free online email service was simply unheard of..
As much as I didn’t want to be pulled in, I couldn’t help but become increasingly excited as April 1, 2004 came closer..

Those who don’t qualify (ie, earn more then $100K) hate the idea and constantly complain about the state it is going to leave the economy.
Those who do qualify love the idea and believe (for good or bad) that this will indeed help the economy in the SHORT TERM…
