Having GOOD people who are well positioned ensures development, innovation, sustainability! Let alone the succession planning opportunities!
If I was managing a mature business with the opportunity invest, I’d diversify my product range through purchasing a series start ups in their infancy and taking advantage of not only the benefit of new product, but also the knowledge of employees! Young, motivated CEO’s are often actively searching for an opportunity to sell and move on. Giving these people a chance to innovate as employees ensures benefits beyond day to day management!
